| personality: | I am an active communicator; decision-maker; stress-tolerant; principial and honest; straightforward; dominating, leader-type person. I cannot tolerate people whom I find to be stupid. Routine quickly becomes boring to me. As a specialist I am more of a builder than a housekeeper: I feel myself better when creating or starting something new than when performing routine tasks. I am most effective when I can concentrate at one single task; switching takes time. As a manager I am more of a leader than an administrator: I define the goals for the team and evaluate the work by its results. Normally I apply minimal force, but in critical situations I may change into a “general” and demand unquestioned obedience. In decision-making I follow the two basic principles: (1) the decisions and contracts that are made must be fulfilled as long as they are not changed, and (2) a wrong decision made early can be corrected, but a right decision made too late is of no use to anyone. My highest value is each human’s individual freedom, which can only be limited in extent necessary to protect other humans’ similar freedom. However, unlimited freedom is undeniably accompanied by an unlimited responsibility for the results of one’s freely made choices. |
| interests: | Skydiving, motorbike riding, literature (science fiction / fantasy), cultures and languages, future studies, legal issues of open-source software and free culture. |
| price: | I expect the following three aspects to be true in an employment relationship: (1) my family has to have food and shelter, (2) the work has to be interesting so that I could enjoy what I do, and (3) the value I create must be at least equal to the compensation I receive from the employer or customer. The starting point for negotiations could be at around EUR 50,000 per annum. |
